After six long days in Kathmandu, Alan, Matt and Tino are finally leaving for the mountains. Once they arrived in the city from the States it became very apparent how much work and stress goes into getting a permit. They bought 20+ fuel canisters and something like 78 meals. The three American climbers and four Nepali sherpas left for the 12 hour Jeep ride at 6:30am (11/1).
In case you all were wondering about the time difference, Kathmandu is exactly 11 hours 45 minutes ahead of Mountain Standard Time.
I have been proudly designated as official weather girl and blog updater while Alan is off the grid. He should be in contact with me a few times a week and I will do my best to keep you all updated to their whereabouts and adventures!
