20,000 ft.

Alan and Tino left Na without any more injuries or adverse weather in their forecast and successfully climbed a "smaller" 20,000 ft peak.  They are now on their way to climbing Tangi Ragi Tau (6,940m), their foremost objective.  Alan and Tino had to hike for three additional days to get to the base of their target.  Alan sounded in reverence as he described cresting a pass and looked over into the Western Cwm (coom), often referred to as the Valley of Silence, and saw Mt. Everest and Nuptse.  They now are at a 20,000ft high camp and are spending the next three days attempting Tangi Ragi Tau.  Apparently, as if even surprising himself a bit, Alan spoke of how far back in the backwoods they are.  They did see a small plane or helicopter and seemed both relieved and in awe of how removed they are and yet you really can call on a sat phone anywhere in the world and get a ride out!

High winds are going to be consistent between 45-60 mph, so they are going to be particularly careful.  Keep them in your thoughts the next few days.
